Agreement to build the Saudi- Egypt Bridge

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman has announced an agreement with Egypt to build a bridge over the Red Sea to connect the two countries, on the second day of his visit to Cairo, foreign media reports.

Making the announcement, King Salman said, I agreed with my brother his Excellency President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi to build a bridge connecting the two countries.

"This historic step to connect the two continents, Africa and Asia, is a qualitative transformation that will increase trade between the two continents to unprecedented levels," he said.

The bridge will be named after Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman.
